[Lilah] It was the lunch hour of her first day, and though Lilah could very well be using these precious moments of spare time to socialise with her new peers, she had wandered from bustling din of the Great Hall. Delicate hands met behind her back, while a most innocent expression painted itself about the fine canvas of the Shifter's visage. She had not taken a supposed brush to the painting, this day. In her natural state she proceeded through the tangle of a labyrinth and corridors, one goal in mind. Well behaved, polite and mindful of the law of both parents (however cold they may be), and Council, it was anyone's wonder just how she'd found herself imprisoned at Hecate. Delilah knew that to beg it of them would result only in a definitive no. Clever thing, the wily femme had taken the means of attending this fine establishment into her own, dainty, little hands. A precious smile curved her lips. Lilah had broken the rules. Intentionally. It was the very reason she traipsed these halls in this moment, that had convinced her to force this cruel, strict institution upon herself. The only person from her past, family and friends included that had ever, even for a single moment, shown her kindness. Michael. It was heart-breaking when he left, and she could only think herself a fool to have taken so long to come to this solution. He worked here, at a school that required misdeeds to attend. Of course, she had shifted in front of a great number of Untouched humans, working as chameleon and beast for no reason other than a distinct desire to be caught. And she was. Now she was here, petite form clad in the same navy uniform as her peers. Scarlet locks hung unbound, framing a beautiful countenance dominated by eyes of storm gray. Lilah had been quick on her hunt, discerning which class Michael taught. By the words of her discarded tourguide he should be.. in this classroom, as he was not on the staff dais for lunch as yet. Her steps came to a stop, and then one hand knocked gently at the hard wood. “Mr Downs?”
[MichaelDowns] *There was a lot of interest in what he had to teach, the chaos and destructive capabilities of fire definitely seemed to touch delinquent souls at a certain level. Michael struggled only internally with what he was trying to convey, and on the outside he was cool as he intended to be. His technique took not only mental but physical discipline and that was something out of the reach of a fair amount of people. A long drawn out sigh would be the only sign of his distress as he finished up his observations and shot his attention to the door as a knock echoed through the heavy wood. The voice seemed to be oddly familiar and he would stand from his desk and move over to the door, pulling it open. The visage on the other side wasn’t something that he was expecting, both amazingly tempting and torturous. At any rate, a smile would spread across his face he would motion for her to step inside before he closed the door behind him. Michael had not seen her for a while, and when they last had been together he could not control certain things and that tipping of balance is what scared him the most. It was not surprising that the firecracker ended up here in the end, this meeting was only waiting to happen. Michael was not as elder as most of the faculty, the youth tempered by martial skill created not only a skilled mage but a physical specimen very uncommon to a people who valued the power of magic over the power of the arm. His blond hair was always kept short, but always in a manner that didn’t make him look too militaristic. Stunning sapphire eyes always seemed to be watching, and indeed it was in his teaching that there was no detail that should ever be missed even amongst normal conversation. Turning to face her after a moment of thought, he would offer another smile and try to play off the time they had spent apart.* “Lilah, welcome to Hecate. Is there something I can do for you? “ *The gloom of his space became apparent to him and he would open one of the windows to let alittle bit more light into the office. It had not yet dawned on him that perhaps this meeting was exactly the reason why she had even allowed herself to be taken here for reformation.*
[Lilah] Her juvenile mind was plagued by worries, thoughts of his irritation that she was here, wonders that perhaps he had forgotten her or, worse, replaced her with another. Lilah had begun as his friend, but as she grew older, childish idolisation and admiration grew into respect and adoration. Dare she admit, even to herself, that she loved him? Not yet. But she was constantly reminding herself that he was her only true friend. When at last he opened the door, the femme let out a girlish gasp. Is there somethi- It was lucky there were no students or colleagues of his in the classroom or lingering about the hallways. Lilah had but launched her petite form at him, slim arms hooking loosely over his shoulders, legs about his waist and face in hiding against his neck. To the flesh there she whispered, “Michael,” as no student should ever, ever address their Professor. Now, she was speaking a little more audibly, “I missed you. It's been Hell without you.” He knew the Darling family. Cold, unyielding, strict. Could Hecate possibly be any worse for her? Delilah sorely doubted it. At last braving a look of his, those piercing storm gray orbs met his cerulean sights, flashing him a sweet smile all the while. She wasn't always like this. Without him around, the sassy girl who was born to be bright and vivid was dulled, mellow and plain. It was cruel, to think how they crushed her. For the moment she remained as she was, legs locked about him and unwilling to let go, even as he shut the door behind them.

[MichaelDowns] *Control was waning when she jumped onto him but he couldn’t fight the urge to hold her against him tightly. Michael was confronted once again with something he couldn’t say no to, and that was something that ultimately he feared would be his downfall. At the same time, it endeared her to him. The confusion was like being a teenager again and he was happy that atleast behind that door they could continue on as they were without so much as an interruption. Her family had accepted him because they believed him to be like them, but inside he knew that they did not burn with his passion and that they were at the opposite ends of control. But that was far past them and though he knew about the strict policies and stone walls of this place, he was happy to know that she would be much better off within these walls. She made him feel as if the internal fire raging inside of him was going to burst out, like a volcano that could no longer hold it’s magma underneath the earth and simply needed to explode. Perhaps that was much more apt of a description because of the many things that they shared. It took his will power not to take his grown-up image of desire and place her upon his desk. Instead he simply held her silent for a moment, allowing the electricity from her touch, breath, and body heat shake his body until he could regain his footing once again. Michael finally spoke once he had calmed alittle bit.* “I don’t think I need to explain my leaving. But I can say that I am overjoyed to see you away from the clutches of your family and within a space where I can atleast watch over you.” *It was hard to determine what he should do so he simply waited, his strength would not fail to keep her up his arm creating a seat under her butt so that she was more stable against his strong chest. The other arm held her against his form loosely enough so that she could move if she wanted to or pull herself away from him.*
