07:54:00 [Ciercy] Ci put the glass of water down, letting herself swallow what was in her mouth before looking at the student before her. ” You did what?” She coughed, finding it hard to swallow as her eastern European voice cracked a little. The student, a girl who had asked to borrow some things from Ci’s private collection, wrung her hands and bit at her bottom lip. ” I don’t know where they went. I lost them, or someone took them. I have looked everywhere.” It had been a bag of treasures really. Ci had paints, brushes, books…that were her own. Samantha, even though she was only a second year student, had begged endlessly to borrow them for her current project. Ci had agreed…and now wished she had not. ” You don’t have any idea where they could be?” The Professor let her face fall in a kind of empty sadness that one like her takes. You can’t yell, you have to be understanding…but she was broken inside suddenly. ” No idea at all?” Samantha shook her head. “I was outside at the field watching a game and when I got back to my room, I realized I had forgotten the bag.” Ci sat down on a stool, her hands resting in her lap as she let her black trouser covered legs cross before her. ” Alright, keep looking, please…” Samantha nodded and all but fled from Ci’s class room. The other students looked up from their places. Until a full time music teacher could be found, Ci was in place, and nodded to her orchestra students. She knew music well, but being over the entire fine arts department meant she was stretched. ” I want you to all break down those sections of the second movement and work on them in practice. Marcus, if you will take over I will be back in a moment.” An advanced student nodded, putting down his viola and coming up to the stand and taking Ci’s place. ” And 1, 2, 3 & 4…” The class could run itself for a second. Ci stepping out, letting the door close behind her. She pinched the bridge of her nose as she moved through the quiet halls. She ended up in the Infirmary, signing in. " I need something for my head." The nurse there smiled and shook her head.”Come on, I’ll fill your prescription.” Ci had migraine issues, caused by her photophobia.
08:09:48 Jacinth Students would go to great lengths, to get out of school, now wouldn't they? Jacinth sat quietly with a student, claiming to be ill. "Well, sweetheart, you go ahead, tell me what's wrong, and I'll see what I can do for you." She set her elbow quietly upon the table beside her, settling in to listen to the young student as he began to explain that he had been feeling sick, feverish, and vomitting. There was a list of other things, but, Jacinth didn't need more than 'fever' to pick out that he was faking. For someone with a fever, he looked quite normal. "Well, I'll have to take your tempeture, hun, as well as run some tests. You aren't afraid of a little needle, are you?" That one usually got them, if they were faking it. "To test your levels, and things. If you've something like the flu, your whole body will be out of whack, and a little pinprick will give us an insight." So far, the student kept his cool, even still when she returned with the little tray of vials, needles, caps and things. "Alright, sweetheart." She pulled her chair in close, giving the student a glance that told him he better know better, than to stare. She was wise to the tricks, very muchly so. Tying off above the crook of his arm, she guided his hand into a fist, and began feeling for a vein beneath the surface of the skin. "There's a nice healthy one." She crooned, as she cleaned it off, and went feeling again, then picked up the needle that, she was hoping, would deter the very unsick boy from his excuse. It was last minute, when his nerves got the best of him, and he bolted up, knocking the tiny nurse over, as well as quite a few other odds and ends on his way out, to run and book it past Ciercy. Wasn't that one of her Fine Arts students, running with his figurative tail between his legs? Carefully, she sat herself up, then cringed when she found the needle protruding from her own skin. At least it was clean, and it'd heal over in no time. That didn't mean that it, and the rest of her, now ass over teakettle, didn't hurt at that very moment. "He ran off with my band." Huffing, she'd pull the needle out, and cleaned it up, applying a cottonball and a bit of tape to catch the bleeding. From the floor, she got herself up, a little woozy from the tumble, a hand steadying herself on the bed. "There we go..." She murmured to herself, then went about cleaning up the mess that had occured. Peering out the door at the voices out there, Jacinth held up a finger, stating she'd be there in a moment. Of course, the other nurse could easily get her, but once Ciercy was in one of the little privatized areas, it was likely Jace that walked in, wearing that ever easy smile. "Hopefully he didn't bowl you over. Foolproof plans to figuring out whos just trying to skip class a little more, or less intelligently than his classmates."
08:19:00 [Ciercy] The teacher tilted her head, seeing the male coming towards her and getting out of his way before he vanished off back into the school. ” Very well..” She mumbled, shaking her head before letting out another sigh. Today was going so well. Ci was taking back, and they were having her fill out the normal papers when she looked up to see Jacinth coming in. Although she didn’t know the woman personally, Ci had pulled her out to be her secret Santa. She had already finished the woman’s gift, but perhaps learning a little about her wouldn’t hurt. Ci was normally so busy, she didn’t take much time to get to know everyone here as much as she should. She was most close with her students, and the mer students for sure. ” Well, I can say little. I am skipping out on class myself at the moment.” Yes and no, her class was currently advanced enough to watch themselves. Many of her others could not say the same. ” You are having rough day?”
08:26:23 Jacinth Lifting a hand to cover her ruby red lips, Jacinth sighed as she moved to sit on another padded stool, legs crossed as she looked up to the other woman, a foot tapping in the air to a non-existant rhythm that played within her pretty little head. "Tut, tut." She shook a finger in the other womans way, before putting on that smile once more, and adjusting herself to better speak to the woman, rather than pay attention to various things about the little room. "Rough day? Well, I've had a few students believe they could pull the wool over my eyes and get out of classes. Something tells me they had something planned, but, regardless to say, all three were caught, and should happily be on their way to class, explaining some silly excuse." Could she get in trouble for not reporting her beliefs? Jacinth just, oh, she didn't want to see the kids get in trouble, and so, she was often quite tight lipped about most things she was told and, or, found out. "Makes me feel like a pregnant woman, sometimes. Doing everything, and succeeding at accomplishing nothing, 'cause someones always there stopping me. I do hope that isn't the case." Being pregnant, anyways. Though, nothing wrong with bringing in a child, it just wasn't the time for that, and to be frank, she was one hundred percent sure, she wasn't. "Anyways, enough about me and my rambling, sweetheart. What can I do for you?"
08:36:28 [Ciercy] Although Ci was not fond of being called sweetheart by the younger woman, she said nothing and knew the reputation of the girl for being …well…soft. Not soft as in she could not take care of herself, but soft like someone who cared too much. ” I am here for refill on this.” She handed the woman her bottle. It was just a simple cocktail of muscle relaxers and pain medication. Ci suffered from a light sensitivity in her eyes. Her pupils were larger than normal which allowed her to see in the dark with ease, but…average light sometimes caused her to have tension in her face and jaw which had built into a TMJ and migraine issue over the years. She could not live her life in sun glasses, and for her art she needed light. It was… a catch 20/20. On days like this where she wasn’t feeling amazing, the tension could build up quickly and leave her less than amusing company.
08:45:16 Jacinth Everyone was sweetheart, dear, hun, and all those lovely names. It was just a way of addressing her, and most everyone else. All it took was to speak up, and Jacinth would cease her actions. Truth was, Jacinth did care too much, she always had. Big heart, and all those wonderful things. Taking the pill bottle, she'd turn it over in her hands, looking over the names, and things. "Have you ever been re-evaluated?" She asked kindly, lifting her eyes as she sat back, allowing her back to settle against the lower support. "On the case that there is something that will work better for you, or you need an adjustment in dosage?" Typical medical questions, of course, especially when glancing at any dates. Standing up, she'd make her way to the counterspace, where the pill bottle was sat down, then turned to look back towards the fellow faculity. "Regardless, you don't look like you're fairing too well. If you'd like a quiet place to rest, I can turn the lights down, get you a cloth for your and you can relax a bit." Conventional methods of relieving pain in the head. "Also, rather than pushing on your temples, assuming you have been, which can cause more pain in the long run, try massaging the base of the neck." She'd indicate on her own, "And here." She'd touch just infront of her ear. "It doesn't work for everyone, but it's worth a try, isn't it?" Should she be good to go ahead with the refill, Jacinth would disappear with the pill bottle for a little while, and returned with it topped off, giving the little candies within a rattle, lips turning upwards. "You should be set to go, otherwise. Try requesting different lighting. Various bulbs are worse than others." Soft light, rather than harsh light, all that funny junk. Amazing how much the woman knew, without even knowing what the problem directly was. Jacinth knew everyones medical records, so to speak. She had to. "Oh! Last recommendation, try herbal tea, like chamomile. Only one cup a day, though."
08:57:24 [Ciercy] The mer smiled, watching Jacinth and nodding. ” Alright, we can set up a time to do a evaluation if you like.” If it would help, Ci was up for it. She watched the woman show her a few things to try and nodded in understanding before she took her bottle. ” Tea does sound nice, I should try it more.” She had learned a nice cup at the end of the day was a nice way to settle down… then again, a dip in the pool was better than any medication could offer. However, even Ci could not give herself that at the drop of a hat. She had a lot of other responsibilities outside of the water. Over Christmas, she didn’t plan to leave the pool more than she had too though, but most of the students would be away by then. ” Thank you.” She offered a smile to the nurse and signed whatever she needed to. ” If you are not busy later, maybe we do lunch or dinner, yeah?” It was just Ci trying to be friendly.
09:02:47 Jacinth "Alright." She chewed on her lip, as she grabbed up the little appointment book she kept, for those who did schedule, rather than coming in to wait until herself or another nurse was no longer busy. Twirling her pen, she'd offer up a few different slots, a few in the evenings, some in the early morning, then one over the lunch hour. Honestly, she was just trying to accomidate the fact that the woman also taught classes, and couldn't just get out of those as she pleased, even if it were for a medical reason. "Chamomile in specific, just before bed. Like I said though, only a cup a day. It's one of those funny ones." There was only a hundred other options out there, all targetted for one thing, or another. "If you can drink it without sugar, you're better off." Crossing her ankles once more, she'd do up the quick little paper that confirmed she had given Ciercy the medication, it was the proper medication, given on this date, and all those funny things that would save her butt, should anyone ever question why the teacher had the pills in the first place. "Not busy, later. Well, m'dear, I try to find time to get a decent supper in, so supper it is? Or, if lunch is better, it's not busy today, it appears, so I can likely do lunch." She wasn't the only one working, so slipping away wasn't too hard, she just didn't like to.
09:22:06 [Ciercy] The mer made an appointment on evening. After classes were over, on a Friday where she would have a little more time. Besides, most students were not bombarding the nurses just before a weekend since they didn’t have classes they wanted to skip. ” Supper would be alright. If you didn’t mind the company.” She offered with another soft smile and stood, moving towards the door. ” I have a class still waiting on me. Is there anything else?” With her medication in had, Ci was ready to get back to her class and back to dealing with her missing supplies. Perhaps she should talk with security about it, if someone had actually stolen it. Then again, perhaps someone had turned it in as well. ” Thank you for everything. “ Ci nodded, and the Mer let her golden eyes drift from the nurses and out. Later in the day, Jacinth could come find her if she liked…but Ci had left her class in the control of a student…that didn’t always go well. If she was allowed to leave, Ci headed back and was glad to ~
09:28:53 Jacinth Penciling her in, she'd scribble down the teachers name in the slot chosen, and a brief little description of what the appointment was for. Re-evaluation. That was easy stuff, unless it turned out to be heading to the unfortunate extents of becoming worse, rather than better. "Supper, it is." She made to mock pencil that in, too, before closing the little book and tucking it into her pocket. She'd add it to the larger day planner when she got back to her desk. Keyword being, when. It was the reason she kept the planner in her pocket, as well as a pad of paper, and god knows what else in there. "Nope, nothing else. Just take it easy. Headpain can lead to passing out, and well, I don't want a student running in here all bug eyed screaming about their teacher passing out, and me needing to pretend I can fly, to come play superhero. Keep in mind, I really can't carry too many people." She wasn't the tiniest thing on the planet, but the nurse was rather petite. It added to her smooth appearance though, rather than took it away. If she were big, she'd look too stretched out. Unproportionate. "You're welcome, sweetheart." She'd lift a hand to wave. Well, she had no reason to intrupt the class, so stay in her infirmary she would. Perhaps, if she had the time, she'd go get herself something else to drink. How cold was her mug, now? She never got to drink her things when they were warm...such a shame!
09:41:39 [Ciercy] Ci was pleased with herself. Her attempt to reach out to the staff was effective. She would spend supper with Jacinth and get to know the girl a little more to help her pick out a gift. After meeting her, Ci was thinking the painting she was planning on giving just wasn’t enough. She needed something else. Something…more personal. The girl was too nice and giving for just a simple mindless trinket. Ci picked up for the rest of the class. Taking her medication and waiting until time was up. As the bell rang and her students started to pack up, she was left sitting there next to the piano with her fingers brushing over the keys while her eyes looked towards the clock. Her next class didn’t start for a little while, and it was aquatics down stairs. An hour or so before she had to be there and the Mer smiled pushing back from the piano before making herself a cup of coffee and starting to head down stairs. In the hall, the paused to speak with Samantha who had had no luck in finding the missing supplies and left Ci feeling even less unhappy. Had they not been her personal things she would not have cared so much, but Sam had lost some books that were very precious to the mer.
10:00:04 Jacinth With the place quiet, she had taken the time to write in scheduled appointments, then quietly made her way back into the rooms she had worked in, and tidied the beds. Pulling off the used paper, and applying new, repeating the same in the other room. Afterwards, she cleaned up, bringing everything to a soft sparkle once more. Afterwards, her temptation to lay down had won, and quietly, the nurse settled on one of the beds, pulling the pillow a tad closer, as she took the chance to kidnap some shut eye. It wasn't as though she'd worked her ass off, but it was just one of those sleepy kind of days. Please, allow her to stay there, just a little bit longer. She'd even been kind to herself, and turned out the light, which probably wasn't a wise idea. The more comfortable she made the little room, the more apt she was to actually sleep. At least until the fellow nurse popped her head in, questioning if she were alright. Of course she was fine, and she'd smile wearily, as she slid off the bed, to remake it, and have it ready for the next person who would need it, as she apologized kindly to the other woman, a hand reaching to fix, and rearrange her hair back into place. Twisting it, she'd stick her pen through, keeping the nearly black locks up off her shoulders, as she trailed out and back to the desk, depositing herself in the chair. Paperwork, she could only look busy for so long.
10:04:25 Shawn : Class would be letting out soon. Before that, Shawn was busy finishing his lecture in Philosophy. “Alright. Heidegger. What did you think of the reading you were assigned over the weekend?” he leaned over his podium, brown eyes scanning the audience. A student, A magnus 5th year would raise his hand. ‘It was confusing as hell’. Laughter from the class. There was a slight smile from Shawn and a slight nod. “Yeaaaah. Especially when you try to read through it all in the minutes leading up to class, eh?” he asked the boy with slight wink. “But no. Heidegger has a certain affinity for letting things define themselves. Humans… have assigned meaning and definition to objects in Nature. To Hiedegger, this is bad. One of the reasons… is that, as Humans… this causes us to look at nature. We merely see utility… Whiiiiiich” he looked at the clock for a moment before continuing. “Means that, we could do things like destroy entire forests. Heidegger sees a big problem with that” eyes watched the clock. “Alright. Finish up the reading for next class. Tomorrow you will be quizzed over the reading” he reminded the kids as they went about packing up their stuff. Patrick wore his usual attire. Black jeans, black leather shoes, a blue long sleeved collared shirt, and a black tie. The tie was loosened and the top button undone. Yeah. Yawning, he waited for the kids to disperse. Some of them struck up a conversation with him. “We’re going to lead into Nietzsche soon. Not because I like him… but because some of the kids like him… and I like taking him down a notch” he said to a kid who questioned him. “Alrrright guys. Have a good day” he gave the last students a wave before leaving the class himself. It was time for a sandwich and maybe even a cigarette!
10:18:00 Jacinth As we said, she can only look busy with paperwork for so long, as most of it was already done, and now, being pat-patted and tucked away in the appropriate file. Pressing her tongue against her teeth, she'd dig in her pocket, popping out the little box of mints she kept. Dainty fingers allowed it to linger on her tongue, as her eyes took up something that caught the young femmes attention. Frozen, for a moment, she pushed her chair soon after, down to the paper, and dropped the mint in, before picking it up. Oh, well, that really wasn't as entertaining as she had thought. Infact, it was really nothing, at all. However, along side the paper, was her mug of cold tea. "Why can't you just, stay warm?" She questioned the mug, as she tapped it's sides, and wrapped her pretty fingers about it. "I would much appreciate it, you know. I pour more out, then I drink." Maybe she should start drinking nothing but cold. With it, she'd dump the contents out, and disposed of the teabag that had been lifelessly floating in it. Like a dead voodoo. It was something about the colour that it turned, and the weird, lumpy shape that made her think of those silly little dolls. Rinsing it out, she'd let the mug hang from her fingers, then thought better. That was all she needed, was to drop and break, another piece of kitchenware. So, adjusting it, fingers drumming on the sides again, she announced quietly, that she would be off, and back again after a little bit. Breaktime! Hey, teachers got breaks, she deserved one, too...Maybe. Possibly. Potentially. "I want to go outsiddeee," she said to no one in particular, as she traversed down the quiet hall. Hop, skip, twirl. Things to stretch her legs, until she bumped into an exitting body that was bigger than her own. "Sorry!" She smiled, as she hugged the mug protectively against her sternum. "Oh, you." She'd prod Shawn in the side, "You owe me a flower and a mug." And, she was on her way again, all ideas of something forgotten, as she intended on going outside. Wait a second, deary. Where's your jacket?
10:34:03 Brigitte was seated in the back row, flanked by two blondes during Philosophy class, and by the expression and manner about the trio, one could only imagine just how riveting they found the lesson. To her left, Roxi sat, a daft and misplaced expression settled about pretty features, until she caught sight of a boy looking her way which, resulted in the instant diversion of her attention. Smiling, winking and batting her eyelashes at appropriate intervals, Roxana was well practised at this game. Meanwhile, Candace was bent to the equally important task of browsing a Vogue Magazine which was 'cleverly' wedged within the open pages of her Philosophy tome, and held nearly upright to shield her trickery from Professor Kohen. The tome was passed back and forth between herself and Brigitte, when not a second too soon, the class was dismissed and granted precious freedom at least for the midday meal. Their joint rising in the exact same manner, in the exact same moment seemed so well practised and timed one could only imagine they had practised their mimicry to a fine art. Each wore the tartan skirt short, and while Brigitte and Roxi wore thigh-high socks, Candace's legs were clad in stockings. Black shoes with a heel that may have earned demerits, and white blouses that appeared a little too fitted and pretty to be the standard outfitted the remainder of the school. Most student's seemed to know they'd best get out of the way, and flattened themselves as the girls walked side by side from the classroom, their destination obviously being the Hall. Brigitte was front and center, bleu eyes never gracing any single person a serious glance, but she felt their eyes on her. When they sat, positioned at the far end of the Arcadian table and therefore distanced from the dais, Candy did not hesitate to speak. “Lara Locke, fourth year. She was escorted to the Masquerade by Braxton.” Old news, and Brigitte's ex boyfriend. Her eyes narrowed irritably, before she was humoring her 'best friend', “And?” The other blonde took a breath, seemingly unconcerned with the food students around them were ravenously eating. “She didn't return to her room that night.” Again, old news. Candace had dealt these tasty tidbits to her before. “Apparently she still hasn't been back and none of the Fourth years have seen her in class today. So far. I've heard from a source” No one, of course, simply her own bored little mind, “That that French skank was caught with Braxton in his dormitory by Professor Blaze. She's been expelled and Brax was lashed, he's only safe because of his father.” Brigitte was pleased to hear of the demise of a rival, and twisted a lock of blond around one fingertip. “Smells like Karma to me.” Roxi blinked, having been busy considering a glass of apple juice and then a glass of orange juice, only to wonder which contained more calories. “What's Karma?” There were a few spaces empty beside and across from them. This was the Brigitte's domain, and everyone knew better than to enter Blonde Territory without an invitation.
10:40:43 Shawn : Lesson plan for the next few days. He had to teach the kids how to defend themselves against various baddies that they would maybe have to deal with in their time. However, Shawn was more into the ducking, dodging, and using witty remarks to get out of a sticky situation. Maybe he could just teach some of the kids how to do that. Some little thing ran into him. “No.. Don’t…” then he recognized that voice. The nurse. Cue the Animaniacs ‘Heeeellloooooo Nuuurse’. Instead he laughed. “I was just on my way to get you that flower”. Was he really? Who knows? He watched as she went off in some direction, he quirked a brown and shrugged and moved to follow her. Where was the little nurse going? “Hold up! Where you going?” he asked moving to follow the odd little nurse. Not like he was really able to make judgments… Shawn was a little weirdo, himself. Shawn had finally regained his bearings in the school. Was the nurse trying to go outside? Without a jacket? That’s the only thing he could think of. Going outside to smoke was on his list of things to do. Might as well accompany the nurse! Who knows what could happen? Maybe she might need a big strong Air Mage to defend her from… The bad things that might be around? Yeah. Not really the best rationale. Plus, she was more interesting to talk to than everyone else in the dam school.
10:41:05 [Trix] Well, the Ball had come and gone. The event in itself had been quite entertaining and Trix had indeed enjoyed herself immensely. But now it was Monday and all the sequins and tulle, lights and sparkles were a thing of the past as the young woman was once again dressed in her regular school outfit. The skirt lowering to her thighs, socks rising upwards to her knees, shirt with short sleeves and blazer atop, along with the maroon and green tie that distinguished her house and of course, her polished black patent leather shoes that shone under the light. Hair was left as is, long and free of binds, allowing for the wisps of pale to dance around her face on occasion, curls of gold bouncing with her step as she walked the hallway from her dormitory. Hips swayed in a feminine manner as she moved with confidence, even though she was busy peering at one of her text books. The book open in her hand, she juggled her view between reading and watching where she was going, but on occasion, the information became too rich to break away causing her to bump into people every so often. Apologies on the lips, Trix had a free period as it was to do as she pleased currently - as long as it involved study. She had entered the study hall to for roll call, but had asked if she may venture outside in order to read under her favourite tree. The path she took now lead her that way, though she was taking her time to do so. Ever nonchalant, there was a natural air about her that seeped forth, the glow of who she was clearly defined by her Fae features, including her almond shaped hues, and ears with pointed tips - something she inherited from her mother. Whilst she’d been teased as a kid before of her ears, she was now pretty much accustomed to being looked at or stared at because of them, though her blond rivulets of gold strands did a wonderful job covering them up for the most part. Her mood was readily visible by the constant hint of a smile upon her lips, even when she was reading, the hallway long enough to take some time as she continued to stroll through.
10:46:50 Jacinth She'd even be polite enough to reach out, and pat his shirt down, smoothing out the wrinkles she might have put upon it. Oh, boo, she even fixed his tie, then nodded. There, now she was ready to flounce off, a step ahead of the students, with determineness as great as their own, to get away from the cells known as learning, and work. She did enjoy her job though, but sometimes, she did need a break. All those medical smells couldn't be good for her. "Oh, were you now? I"m glad I brought my mug. I can fill it with water, and there we go." Nails clinked on the ceramic. Stopping, she turned, making herself smaller as she stepped back through a group of students. "Outside, sweetheart. I need some fresh air, or I'm afraid I'll wilt and people will be questioning what that weird puddle is." She shrugged one of her slender shoulders. "Be a gentleman, and escort a lady?" She offered her arm, wearing that ever happy smile, before she began to thread through the recently released students."So, what do you say, about trading jobs for a day? I'll teach students all the wonderful things about history that I don't know much of, and you can put bandaids on knees, and take blood from the students who pretend to be sick?" Fair trade? Definitely not. His class would end up with her sitting on the desk, jabbering away about the weather, and well...those poor students, she didn't want to think about what might become of them.
11:00:33 Shawn : Fix his tie? No! Shawn’s tie was supposed to be loosened! He had to look ‘professional’ but that only went so far. At some point the Air Mage had to do his own thing. “Yes. I was! It was going to be so glorious” he responded. He could easily whip one up. Master Mage, and all. When she offered her arm he took it and they could continue to walk outside. “Well. I think it would be best that we don’t do that…” he said with a smile. “Seeing as how I teach Philosophy and help the kiddos know how to defend themselves…”. Jace should know that, but she was probably doing another bit. “But. I’m sure you wouldn’t really want me near the kids, with a needle… Jamming the needle into their arms. I think I would accidently kill a kid” he laughed a little. Or, instead of actually treating them, the Professor would talk to them about who knows what. Talk about the healing power that the mind actually holds. That modern medicine is a giant scam. Or who knows what. “By the way. Get a jacket. It would be some sort of irony if the head nurse gets sick…” he paused for a moment. “Is that Irony? Or just funny…” he laughed a bit. “Regardless, You should get a jacket…” So, with that, Jace would have to go back to get that, which means Shawn could be going with her.
11:05:42 Chase` had just gotten out of his AP Casting class. He stayed behind to talk to the Professor about some of the theory before exiting the room. His passed his books to Draven, his best friend, and swung on his jacket as they made their way toward the Hall. He picked up more of his group of friends the moment they rounded the corner and he took his books back from his friend. His uniform was crisp as always, black dress shoes polished to perfection, pants and shirt ironed with creases down the front of his pants. He felt military creases in the shirt would have been too much. His tie was tucked under the vest that he had requested and the chain of his great-grandfather's pocket watch crossed from one vest pocket to the other the same as it had done at the Masque. The vest, which most, probably none, of the students ever requested, was navy blue like the blazer and pants. But Chase figured that if one was going to be forced to wear a suit all day every weekday, one might as well like the suit one was forced to wear. And so he had vests to go to his uniforms. He slid his free hand into his pocket and his friends talked and laughed about the things the rumor mill was churning out these days, mostly about Kennedy and Lara Locke. Old news to him. And some of the things were wildly outrageous and, as they entered the Hall for lunch, he looked over to see the blonde trio sitting at Arcadia table. His path lead them right by the Plastics and his couldn't help but lean toward them a little, "Still spreading lies, Candace? I'd have thought it'd bore you already." Get it? Limited attention span? Small brain? No? Oh well. And then he headed on down between Arcadia and Crux tables, stopping a goodly way from the Queen Bee and then sitting in getting ready to eat.
11:09:56 Jacinth She just straightened it, stop looking like a pufferfish, for gods sakes. She could have taken it off, and wore it herself, if that would make things better. Or used it as a leash. Pet teacher, anyone? Better than a teacher's pet, any day. "Was, so it isn't, anymore?" Mustering up her best disheartened look, Jacinth even poked out her lower lip, and...aw, damn, puppy eyes, with the quivery brow. Heartbroken look, right there. It didn't last long, before she lost that, and resumed looking a little more adult then she was acting. "No? I could teach them how to defend themselves, I'm sure. I know all sorts of pressure points, and valuable places that you could tap and a person would crumble." Anatomy, that delicious stuff. "However, a student dying, that might come back on my head, and I wouldn't be a happy woman. I agree, let's not do that. I'll just invade your class, and you'll get my tea. It will be so wonderful." Was she maybe, just a little bored, of sitting her days out with the with the kids playing sick? It did tend to get perhaps, old. "Get a ja - Oh, what do you know." She looked down at herself, still sporting todays attire of a soft pink dress, and the telltale fitted smock of attire and pockets. "I originally hadn't intended on going outside, and thus, hadn't grabbed a jacket. It would be rather ironic, now wouldn't it? A sick medicinal person. Although, me, sick?" Maybe a sniffle and a snuffle, then a cough and sneeze, and that'd be the end of that. "Get a jacket, yes, alright, dad." With a roll of her eyes, and a lopsided grin, Jace began her way back to the ever-clean place of work.
11:14:43 [Trix] Given the fact it was lunch, she had an ungodly amount of free time to past, along with her study period combined. It was more than enough for her to finish the philosophy text which had captured her attention so readily that she couldn’t put it down. Everyone knew of Trix and her books. The way she studied and was a Grade A student all around. She enjoyed her classes, enjoyed learning and how it expanded her mind. She was under the impression that one could learn anything they wanted, and over the years in her free time she had trained herself on many a topic, including different languages and the like. Her petite form meandered the hallway until reaching the dining hall. Stopping of to get a bite to eat prior to exiting outside would make sense as her stomach was grumbling almost loudly enough for people to hear. Wandering in through the doors of the Great Hall she was almost saddened to notice the change in the room. How it had gone from being magical the night of the Ball back to the regular row of tables that befit the eatery. At least she had her memories of that evening and was thankful for such, seeing as it was the first time she’d been to the event. Books balanced precariously in her hand, including the open one she manoeuvred her body through the aisle, eyes glancing toward the Crux table, landing upon Chase for the moment though she had to pass the group of girls whom Trix well knew. While not a part of the group or associated with them in any way, she was aware who the girls were, though the group pulled no interest for her despite being all Fae. Trix was more of a solitary creature than mingling around in a social group. She had no need for such a thing - she was content reading her books, or chatting with a few acquaintances on the whole, rather than hanging out with a bunch of blondes. Though, on some level, she was rather intimidated by the group and in particular of Bridgette. Everyone know Bridgette. Everyone understood her position in the grand scheme of things and Trix would merely nod and smile, before almost stumbling with her books (excellent balance) as she made her way toward Chase. “Hey Chase - mind if I sit here?” she questioned, not really waiting for an answer as she piled her books down on the table across from him.
11:28:03 Brigitte 's duo of followers were assaulted by an attack of the killer jawdrop, when Chase dared to call Candace out on her rumour mill. Who did he think he was, Ghandi? The only reason these girls tolerated the Mage from Crux was because, in later years, he had grown from a scruffy, lanky dweeb into a passably attractive option for one of Brig's many suitors. Unluckily for him, she was far too busy with more prominent students of the opposite sex to allow him the honour of an opportunity – to woo her. Given that Candace was all but lost for words, the notably loyal Brigitte piped up in turn, “Lies? Do you see the girl around? No? Didn't think so. Why don't you go play in some mud and leave civilised people to their lunch, hm?” Brigitte smirked victoriously as Chase continued on his way, and all three girls pressed their hands to their chest, brought it to their lips in a blown kiss and uttered “Love ya,” in the perfect synchronisation of a robotic creation. “Well said Brigitte. Who does he think he is, Ghandi?” Great minds think alike, no? Roxana took this moment to pipe up, “I loved that show! I used to have a Green Gumby doll and I-” Her words were silenced by a viscous stare from Queen B. Had it not been for the distraction, Brigitte may have brought forth her idea of inviting Trix to join them, when her gaze fell on the girl passing by. She met their prerequisites, even if she was a little bit of a bore – but they could work on that. “I'm going to have Hunter Cross.” Another 'idea' or rather announcement of Brigitte's. In her defense, one could at least credit her self-assured thinking and pure determination? Hex was littered with a number of personalities, and not everyone was sweet, kind and happy to fly solo. The trio of blondes were a testament to the fact.
11:31:59 Ryill had spent the morning catching up on the events of the weekend. He still needed to talk to Lara about the assault but word in the halls was anyone going to visit her was eventually going to have to but heads with Xander. It wasn't that Jason was afraid of Xan, no, but he was aware that any argument they got into would most likely result in bodily injury. And as long as he was being honest with himself, Ryill wasn't exactly sure he would be the one still standing at the end. That said, he had decided to wait until the girl was rested and well on the road to full recovery before he interrogated her. He had just finished scribbling down his report from the masq and was now headed to the Mess. Dressed in mostly black with his red and black house tie, Jason cut a tidy figure, his blue eyes seeming to glow against the clashing colors of his attire. For the most part the schools head of security only spoke with his swim team and the students he was putting in detention. He wasn't the most liked of the staff but so long as you weren't making trouble you probably hardly noticed him or put much thought into who he was. Besides that, he was still pretty new and had learned only a few of the most infamous students.
11:32:05 Shawn : “Was. Is. It will be when I get the dam thing”. That puppy dog look, it was cute... but nothing that Shawn couldn’t resist. Afterall, towards the end of every year he had so many of those… needing him to pass them so they don’t have to repeat a year. Of course, Shawn was immune to those sad looks. “Right. Some good old Kill Bill type shit”. Well, that’s what it sounded like! The pressure point thing. I don’t know how useful some of that would be against a full blown were barreling down on you” he shrugged. Then again, how much would a witty comment do in that same situation? Didn’t matter. “I don’t know about that, one..” he said to her whole ‘being wonderful’ thing. What would happen if she invaded his class? Lord only knows what kind of distraction the head nurse would become. “Well. Grab a jacket. So you don’t even have to chance getting sick, yes?”. Didn’t matter if the Nurse wouldn’t get sick. Couldn’t risk you. When she called him dad, he laughed. “And! When you get back. We are going to have to have a talk about your grades, m’am!” he shook a fist towards her. “You have been too busy getting distracted by the boys. It’s Bobby Fischer again, isn’t it? I knew it. Always woo’ing the girls with his ability to play chess”. So all she had to do was get a jacket and they would be off!
11:42:50 Jacinth "When." She parroted, a sly grin finding it's way home upon her face once more. If he truly was immune to the looks of non-verbal begging, well, should she ever, for any reason need it, she'd find another way to worm her way in there and get what she was after. Perhaps for the best however, Jacinth wasn't the type to do that, and use an innocent person. She was more likely to get walked over, then to do the walking. "Kill...Bill? Why would we want to kill Bill, sweetheart? That poor fellow has enough on his hands." Whoever Bill might have been. It sounded like a janitorital name. For all she knew, Bill was a cook, or an eraser clapper. "Now, you tell me, who would, in their right mind, go trying to hurt little ol' me?" Jacinth was a sweetheart, through and through. No matter her popular status through school, no matter the skirt chasers who had followed her, and still had the temptation to do so. There was something about a nurse minus the wrinkles, it seemed, that was just downright attractive. She did have the body to boot, too. Right out of a dream, she could have been. Please, at least, allow it not to be a wet one. "It would be." She insisted. Well, aside from the fact that there would no doubt be distracted male eyes, and jealous female ones. She belonged in the infirmary, not the classroom. Then again, give her a ruler, and some glasses, and there we go! "Fine, fine." Then, she snickered, and stopped in her tracks, feinting innocence. "But, Daddy! My grades are at least an F, that stands for fantastic, right?" Ditzily, she twirled her hair in her fingers, while mocking a school slut stance. "The boys are the ones distracting me! They keep talking to me, then next thing I know, we're in the broom closet, and Bobby is outside playing chess, and we just don't want to interrupt him, so...we, well..." She high-pitch gasped, then flitted off, like she'd said too much. It didn't take long for her to grab her jacket, and return with it on her shoulders."You're no going to ground me, are you? At least let me off with a slap on the wrist." She'd hold her hand out, limp-wristed.
11:52:27 Chase` paused in the act of heading to his seat and doubled over with fake laughter, "You call yourselves civilized?! Girl, third world countries look civilized compared to that little island you're always on." The boys with chase laughed loudly and he continued on to his seat. The moment his butt hit the bench he was piling food onto his plate. He looked up when he heard a familiar female voice and saw Trix. He grinned when he realized she'd asked if she could sit across from him and look at that! He didn't even have to give her the affirmative answer that was ready to roll off his tongue, "Oh come on now, Trixie. You know almost anyone is free to sit with me. But you have to ask yourself one very serious question when you contemplate sitting with me." He lifted a large amount of food to his mouth and he chewed twice before swallowing it, "Can you handle it if Draven stares at your rack all period?" He looked over at Draven, whose eyes were, as Chase had predicted, focused noticably lower than Trix's face. Chase reached up and flicked the guy's nose, "You need a girlfriend, bro. Like hardcore." He shook his head and smiled at Trix, "So. Can you handle it?"
11:55:41 Shawn laughed “It was a movie… You’re talking about pressure points. There was a part of… Never mind. You’re right. Bill is a good guy, and no one should ever try to kill the poor Fellow” he shrugged a little. Oh? You think Jace is hot? Look at Shawn. Okay fine. You win. He’s not as good looking of a woman. But in terms of being a man? Yeah. The Air Mage-Hippie-Philosopher had it all going for him! Yeah. Everyone loves the professor who would smoke and drink… then try to be all philosophical. Yeah! Continuing on with the scene where a father has to deal with his daughter’s bad grades. “Darling. When your mom passed away. She made me promise that I would make sure you grow up right. And, I have to stick with that. You have to focus on grades. Not the boys”. In this scene, the father would say ‘You are your mother’s daughter, that’s for sure’… if it were a Sitcom. Rather he sighed. “Has grounding you eeeevveeer stopped anything? I don’t think so. Now hurry up and get your jacket, Darlin’. We have to get goin” he said and laughed a little. Okay, being around the Nurse was at least more interesting than hanging around the other members of the Staff. Except for Weir… Oh my. The thing he would do. Oh my.
11:58:43 [Trix] As the Plastics, in particular Brigette spoke to Chase, Trix rolled her eyes a little though with her back to the girls so not to be seen. The threesome were quite popular for their meanness to others on occasion as well as their charms to will most boys into their sway. Brigette had her eyes on several and had been with the most popular jock in school, to which Trix in turn, wonder just where Bridgette would go next. Though, aside from the few thoughts she had about the threesome, but turned to focus on her books, and then her lunch. Food was a necessarily relief as a bowl of soup was gathered, along with crackers that were broken into the yummy smelling food. Sitting where she was, she had a good opportunity to look to Chase, whom she’d known for years considering they were in the same level and house. They had many classes together and had become acquainted over a period time, just as she had with Brax and his circle of friends. She wasn’t the girl that most boys went after, but that was fine in Trix’s mind for she was content to mull around inconspicuously most times. The girl had never had a boyfriend and it was by fate alone she had been asked to the Ball by Basilio, who himself was quite handsome. Her thoughts shifted toward the male who had promised to teach her self defence, and whom she’d begin training with soon. Trix was looking forward to learning some techniques, especially with the rumours flying around the school, and the already dead body found in one bathroom. The petite fae had only her powers to fight with, but if subdued in any manner, she may have to relay on the physical to get her out of a situation -- Trix was thinking ahead for that fear was there, in the gut of something really bad going on at the school. She didn’t voice her instincts however, preferring to keep them to herself. Chase’s words brought her back to the now as she almost didn’t hear him, though with a quick glance toward Draven she shook her head and rolled her eyes once again. “There’s really not that much to see.” She quipped, offering a small smile in response, one that allowed the deep ocean blue pools to glimmer with a hint of mischief. She was neither uncomfortable or bothered by the notion, knowing that it really was just a joke, and well - most of her friends were male. She was use to being around them and their strange actions. “If it makes you feel better, I could always take my top of.” Of course, she was kidding as s light flush rose over her cheeks. “But then it takes away the mystery. Anyhow, I have soup that will have my attention for some time. “ A light shrug was offered as she focused on her soup, her gaze momentarily though landing back on Chase as she noticed the chain from his watch and gazed curiously. It was something he always had upon his person, though she’d never really seen it close up. Regardless, she steered the conversation away from her breasts toward the Ball. “Did you have a good time at the Ball?” She questioned curiously before taking a spoonful of soup in her mouth.
12:11:17 Patrick : “Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees! And I am done. Go to hell, homework” the little fae jumped around excitedly in the room he shared with three other Faes. “Shit! What time is it?” he looked around and saw the clock. “Good. It’s just lunch time…” he smiled and closed his book before his eyes widened behind his glasses. “It’s lunch time! Dammit… Time for Huey Lewis and the news to play a song… while I get to the Great Hall in a whacky fashion” he said and leaped up. Going to get dressed. Luckily his roommates were gone, otherwise they would be giving the poor little crazy Fae a lot of shit. They always did. Afterall, he was Arcadia’s crazy kid. Soon, the little Fae would be moving out of the Arcadian house. Wearing the uniform that was required of him. Wild brown hair was everywhere, thick black glasses perched on his nose. The uniform itself was nice and pressed. Lookin gooood”. Soon enough, the little Fae was in the great hall. Blue eyes surveyed the field. The Arcadian table was pretty vacant. Except. Fuck. The annoying Fae Arcadian girls were sitting right there. This was like that dumb scene from Mean girls. Hell, they basically were the mean girls. The difference, of course was that there wasn’t some elaborate plan to take them down. Patrick managed to get a turkey sandwich on a plate and moved towards the Arcadian table. Luckily, he saw one of his roommates towards the end of the table. “Oi Nathan…” the Irish accent came out as he sat down. He proceeded to eat his sandwich. Patrick was crazy, and the Arcadians knew that… but he was also someone of no consequence! Maybe Patrick could eat in peace.
12:18:30 Mila huffed and paused in her speedy step to hoist up the tomes and notebooks that she was lugging with her into the Hall, held in a rather awkward fashion, so that by the time she was making her way to find a seat somewhere near to Trix and Chase, she all but dropped one notebook, and released a dozen pages of written work. Typically a lock of impractically long, dark hair had fallen in front of her eyes and she blew it from her vision, exasperated as she crouched to collect her things. So she was bringing her studies along with her to the Hall, in a last effort to finish that Divination essay? Mila procrastinated all through yesterday, when she'd had the chance to complete it, assuring herself, that she would dedicate the night to the unsavoury business. This was before Professor Dryke had unfairly sentenced her to a night of dish duty in the kitchens and, with so many students you could bet your bottom dollar that from the moment you finished eating your supper until the moment that called for lights out, you would be down there, elbow deep in suds. Even then, it remained impossible to finish the towering mountains of grub work. Exhausted from her efforts, Mila had carelessly slept in and wasted the breakfast hour and her first, free period abed. Next she'd had various subjects such as Elixir's and P.E prior to luncheon, so the Seer couldn't even try to scrawl a quick essay while another Professor was loading her with work. Stressing and becomingly pink-cheeked, if the girl had managed to gather up her things she'd slide in beside Trix and across from Chase and her friends. “Hey!” Blame her sudden socialising with him to a dip in the loch together, an interesting game of 'Truth or Dare' and the untimely punishment of grub duty that they had suffered in company.
12:19:34 Ryill took a precursory glance about the dining hall, lingering a moment in the door way until he spied the staff table. It was mostly empty now. Teachers liked to take lunch in their rooms he'd noticed and some simply never made it as far as the dinning hall in the first place. Ryill eyed the rows of students a moment, noting the way they tended to cluster into their usual social groups and finally decided to just stick it out and eat by himself. With a mental shrug, Ryill skirted the student tables and headed for his lunch. He wasn't terribly hungry, but if he didn't eat now he probably wouldn't get another chance until lights out. Soup then... and he might stow and apple or two away for later. He ladled himself a generous bowl of stew, snatched up a couple pieces of fruit and made his way to the faculty table. Lunch alone, again. Not that he really minded, it's harder to eat when your talking but it would be nice for a change to have a distraction from all the little students whispering between glances at him. Maybe it was something about being the only male mer in the school but the attention he got made him think nothing had changed at all sense his graduation. rumors were rumors, staff or student, and he was pretty sure he didn't need to know the ones circulating about him.
12:24:57 Chase` laughed, "Maybe so, but he uses his imagination. Don't you Draven?" Draven reached out and punched Chase's shoulder, "Shut up, dude." Chase put up a hurt facade and rubbed his shoulder in mock pain, but the whole act crumbled as Trix offered to take her top off and he gave out shout of laughter, "You don't wanna do that! He'll start following you around like a lost puppy." He grinned and ate another mouthful, swallowing when Trix asked him about the Masque, "It was good. I won the game of Guess Who, yet again. Oh and I spent a while talking to a girl in a pink dress, turns out it was August, that mer girl from Tritus. At dinner last night we were playing Truth or Dare and Mila dared her to tell us what she wore to the ball and the moment I recognized her, she bolted like the Eye of God was hot on her heels." And, of course, speak of the Devil and he shall appear. Mila's person slid in beside Trix and he grinned at her, "Hey. Still trying to get that Divination essay finished I see. Well, I can't really blame you for procrastinating. Dryke's punishment last night sucked." He looked over at Trix, "Oh, get this. Mila and I were on the way to dinner, and Dyke decided that me giving Mila a piggy-back ride to dinner was 'Fraternizing'. Gave us both dish duty." He shook his head slowly, still unable to believe that was what they'd gotten punished for.
12:31:45 Maebh had been in her room, scribbling down some thoughts and what-not and clearing her head. Her handwriting was quick and probably barely legible to anyone but herself. Vivid eyes composed of oceanic hues fixed intently on the pages and lines as if the words were already there before the ink permanently placed them. Though the woman never found it easy to write, she would get herself caught up in it after a few minutes. Her attention usually could not be broken very easily, but her stomach demanded attention. Her thin, nimble fingers ceased and dropped the pen onto the heavy parchment before curling and opening in a stretching motion. After setting the black leather journal onto a side table to the left of the chair she sat in, Mae stretched her arms far out to the side and arched her back away from the back of her seat. She stood up out of the large, plush armchair that easily fit two adults and shuffled to the door of her quarters. Tipping her head upside down, she shook some life into her loose loose waves of soft red hair and then slid on her boots. She wore a pale blue sweater that loosely fell from her shoulders, slate colored leggings, and knee-length black leather boots. These boots led her from her room and towards the dining area. It seemed much warmer outside of her room. Perhaps it had something to do with the size of it; there would be no way to completely heat it. Mae grunted lightly as her stomach cried out. Had it really been that long since she had eaten? As her stride quickened, the nurse tried to remember whether he had eaten breakfast or not. The verdict would prove to be a non-nutritional, large cup of coffee for her morning sustenance. She smirked, remembering how she scoffed at students falling victim to terrible caffeine crashes, and here she was. Making a right turn she graced through the entrance to the dining hall and scanned the room discretely as she made her way towards the pungent blend of different things to eat being prepared.
12:36:16 Trix noticed both Patrick enter the hall, to whom she offered a friendly wave towards, having met the Arcadian Fae just the other day, and Ryill, the Mer Teacher who was grabbing his food and heading toward the Teachers table while she ate her soup.Eyes peering upward as they surveyed the area before coming to land on Mila as the girl lost nearly all notes in one fell swoop. About to get up to help the girl, it would seem Mila managed to get her papers and sat beside Trix. “Hey Mila..” She spoke, knowing the girl by her face, but not knowing her as a friend. Still Trix was pretty friendly to everyone who came her way regardless - it was just part of her nature to be polite and nice to everyone. She was a firm believe of what you gave you got back, and thus would continue to remain as she was most likely for the rest of her years. Listening to Chase as she supped on her soup, her eyes would watch the male curiously as he spoke, giving the right nod and blinks at the appropriate times. “Yes I know of August..” The burger girl as Trix remember her. “’She’s super shy..” She commented loosely, as he went on to speak about Mila and how they were caught by Dryke. Her gaze shifted toward the girl beside her, then back to Chase and the others. “Seriously? That sucks for you both. I’m sorry to hear that you got into trouble over such a small thing! As if she did that. Sometimes the rules in this school go way to far.” Said Trix in a lowered voice so not to be heard as if it was some great secret. This coming from the girl who had never broken a rule in her life, always following to a T the student rules, never one to step outside and break them. “How long do you have to do that for? Was in one night or more? ” She questioned Mila and Chase before turning back to her soup. “That really sucks..” as she caught sight of Maebh enter the Hall for her Lunch.
