[Mila] Before she had crawled into bed the night before, Mila had been intercepted and sequestered for a moment of quick words in her House Coordinator's office. The short of it; She need be awake early this morning, in order to aid a new student during their first days of Hex Hell. Chosen not only because she and the student shared a grade and many classes, but because she was widely known for being an easy-going social butterfly with more friends and kindly acquaintance's than she could count. She was not amongst the most troublesome or dangerous of Hecate and thus, was a fair choice. It was Tuesday now and, leaving the shared bathroom at the end of the girls dormitory in Crux, she was garbed and ready for another dreary day of classes and Aether drama. The standard white blouse, tie and shortened navy tartan of their uniform painted her as one of the unit. Another bot. But, she wasn't quite like the others. There was certainly something whimsical in the spark of her striking, dusky gaze. Something that pulled at another's desire to be around her with her sweet, easy laugh and the infectious smile ever present at those plush, cherry-stained lips. There was one there now, even as she waited at the fireplace in the common room – where this new boy had supposedly been told to meet her. She knew the basic details of him; name, race, form and classes. In delicate hands she had clutched a tome and notebook to her breast, for they wouldn't have time between their quick tour and breakfast to collect their books for first class – which, they had together. AP Casting.
[Jacob] walked down the corridors of the castle looking around at the stone walls and decor of the place, it sure was big to him. He was just a simple boy from south america spending his time in the jungles and talking to the trees. He was a bit of an odd ball to be honest, with a highly laid back adittude about work , he never seemd worried or concerned to get it done on time but yet still manages to do it, miracle worker he is. Although he was not a fan of this uniform Navy blue trousers were very stiff to him and square, literally he felt like he was wearing squares, these polished black dress shoes were killing his poor little toes, he tugged at the Hecate tie some felt it constricting his neck and he did not like this belt being wrapped around his waits like an andaconda "Aye...this sucks.." he spoke in a heavy spanish accent "I'm wish this uniform could be less...tight.." he spoke again as he finally reached the common room seeing a girl there "Heya, is this the place for the Crux building?"he's new so he wasn't too sure how everything worked here or what everything was called, but he looked to the girl with his dark brown eyes and smooth tan skin, his curly hair bounced with each motion of his body. Waiting for an answer he scratched at the back of his heel with his foot trying to get an itch that these shoes were causing.
[Mila] She watched as he approached, striking dusk meeting his eye and knowing surely this was the fresh meat to breach their walls. New kids stuck out like a sore thumb. “Hey. Yes, this is Crux.” With his luggage taken care of by staff, they need not enter his room. Not that Mila would be permitted down the boys corridor which led off from the common area. “I'm Mila,” her introduction spoken with an Australian accent, and a winning smile whilst her free hand extended as if to shake his. If taken, she gave it a gentle shake and then burst into vibrant, expression chit-chat that painted her as far too excitable for so early and hour. “Everyone's mostly still asleep but yep, this is Crux.” A common room of vintage furniture, none-too-large and homely with it's warm, crackling fire, paintings, medallions and trophies. The Centaur above the mantle with the entire décor seeming to be warm maroons, browns and red with much emerald here and there. “That,” one poised index index finger gestured toward one of four corridors (one being the entrance he had just come from), “Is the girls dorms. Don't go there.” She laughed. “Or at least, don't get caught.” Another point, “Boys, yours. Someone will show you your bedroom later. There's a bathroom at the back – shared, I know. Prehistoric, right?” And the last, “Staff and faculty. Don't go there.” No getting caught about it. Just don't. Wasn't worth the lashes. Personable and bubbly, she was quick to head back the way he had come. “We share almost every class – I'm a Seer.” Even though they were both Mages, there were at least a thousand students at Hex and thus, it was pure luck that he shared almost every study with Mila. “So I'm going to show you evvverrryyywhere. Exciting, right?”
Jacob nods as he takes care of that itch in the back of his heel "Bueno, I'm happy I haven't gotten too lost in this stone maze" he said that in no way of disrespect but hey, he likes wood over stone what can you do? And for his luggage let's just hope that the staff don't disturb his babies or someone's gonna lose a finger and it won't be him that takes it. He'd look to her hand and shakes it like a civilized human "Nice ta meet ya' Mila, name's Jacob." he smiled as the light from the fire seemed to make his teeth glow a bit but his expression changed when he saw that burst of friendly bubbliness show up out of no where, he stood there blinking seeing her chat away, as she spoke he couldn't help but take a gander at some of the cool things they had, soon taking his attention back to her she was just now getting to the corridors, looking back to where he came led the girls, then looked to the boys "I'll be sure to find my way to the bed" he said with a smirk then looked to the staff and falcuty corridor and he nodded "Yea, not going in there." stuffing his hands into his pockets he'd turn to follow her for the real tour, he raised a brow at her excitement for having almost all the same classes, he didn't grasp the large number of students that went here yet. "You're a seer? Hm, cool, they ranked me as an...Earth Elemental?" he gave a shrug for it wasn't rocks he could manipulate but the plant life with in the rocks. Now let's focus on this tour "Lead the way!" he said in the same level of enthusiasm with his sloutched apperance and hands stuffed in his pocket, he truely was excited to further his skills.
[Mila] She liked his accent. It was rare, even in an Academy that accepted delinquents from all over the globe and had garnered itself the title of the worst of the worst. The Council sent all the rule breakers straight to Hex. “You'll get used to it,” she assured him. Well, it had certainly taken her a few years to find her way about the labyrinth of Hecate but, Mila was sure that with her aid, he wouldn't face the same problems. “So, Jacob. What brings you to Hex?” Lived in the area? Orphan? Poor parents? Strict parents? Did he actually deserve to be here, like the greater population? “Ahmagawsh that's awesome. My best friend Chase is an Earth Elemental.” So, she knew plenty about his kind. Giggling alng with his enthusiasm, the lass pressed the tome and notebook to the curve of one hip, and brought her limber steps toward the door. Once they had made their way through the corridor and secret exit, that wasn't really a secret (juveniles didn't keep secrets, and after years in the same place curiosity usually had everyone figuring out where each House was). Speaking of, as they passed by a corridor she pointed to a large painting of a Draon. Subtle, right? “That's the entrance to Magnus.”
Jacob wasn't much of a rule breaker or delinquent at least he didn't consider himself one, he was a boy with a special connection to the world around him. Blinking he listened to her question and answered "Well...I lost my parents at the age of 14, for some reason they didn't have any family for me to legally be sent too so I just lived on my own for a while discovering I had a special connection with the jungle and well...lets just say my actions didn't go unnoticed. I was found out and blamed for witchcraft in the local villages, I got a letter from this place and bim bam boom! I'm here. It's nice to get away from the crowds any how." he didn't sound too disturbed or traumatized from such a past, he was a chill dude. He'd listen to her talk about one of her friends being an Earth elemental and he nods "Ahh, guess we'll have to be introduced sometime." he smiled as he was shown the 'secret' passage way "Magnus huh? Are they like a..rival group or somthin like that?" he asked curiously looking to her
[Mila] Slowing in her step, Mila paused to consider his story – a mournful one, but then, those weren't hard to find between these cruel walls. Hecate was home to many unfortunate teenagers, and somehow, despite the cruelty of many of the staff it really was more of a home than anywhere many of these youths had been. The students, the Sixth years and Crux especially were her family. But, she couldn't forget her parents. “I'm sorry, Jacob.” A cliché way to offer her belated condolences to someone she barely knew but it would take only a single look – her exotic features earnest and genuine. She really was sorry. There were few people she knew that had discovered their Aether so late in life, or had such hidden from them. It was any wonder he had unknowingly broken enough rules to find himself sentences to life at Hex, at least, for the remainder of his High School years. “Fair enough. Well, I guess you haven't really been a part of the Aether-commnity so, I can't say it's not as bad “No, it's just another House, created like for sports and competitions and also to like.. bind the races. End segregation, y'know? Basically, yeah. So like there's four. Your in Crux with me, Centaur. Magnus is the dragon. Then you got the Arcadian Silver Phoenix, which is like, down that away.” Her hand waved animatedly in some oblong direction, “And Tritus the Koi Dragon is down there. So that's your four. Yeah.” The sable-headed beauty nodded to finish her statement and then, offhandedly mentioned, “Oh, that's our AP Casting class, there. We got that first period.”

Jacob racing up and down the stairs in a huff, where was that class again!! Where was it!?? he took the tour with Mila the other day but he forgot the directions to at least half of the places he needed to go, most of which he was sure were important. Up and Down, Left and Right he raced around the corridors "Ayyyee!! Dónde estoy??" he yelled out feelign sweaty and hot in his uniform he looked around some more placing his hands on his knees and kneeling over taking some time to get a breath "This is not good..." he was late for his first class, maybe they'll go easy on him since he's new, he hopes so or else his butt might be on the hot plate for this. He looked around more before he finally gave up throwing his hands into the air and sitting down against the wall of the corridor. He was so wrapped up into figuring out where his class was he got lost and now sat there hopelessly lost "Guess I'll just wait for the next shift of class and ask for directions.."
[Johanna] ::: Johanna was none worse off for her scare with Walsh. The boy had tried to choke her and she had received a stinging bow to her face. She had been let out of the infirmary after kicking up a fuss and refusing to answer the questions from the healers. No doubt that Professor Blair would have told them what had happened anyway. She still bore the marks of strangulation around her throat, faint bruises that had yet to clear. Dressed in that hideous uniform for another dreary day of classes, Johanna actually had a free period right now. All day, she had been receiving stares from her fellow students as they speculated amongst themselves on just what had happened to her. They were smart enough not to approach her directly about it though. Possibly because they knew that Jo would not relent on the details. Now, wanting out and away from the rumours and gossip that had spread like wildfire, she had been heading towards the library where she hoped to get some studying done without interruption. On second thought, no doubt somebody or the other will try and accost her there. Jo turns on her heel, intending to move away from the castle and out to the loch. That is, until some crazy kid comes zooming into her path, almost knocking her over while yelling about something or the other in a language she didn’t understand. Blonde head turns towards him as a brow quirks and she folds her arms across her chest. “Oi, pipsqueak. Watch where you’re going, alright.” She calls after Jacob.::
Thomas slowly walks along the school and glances at the paper in her hands. "Hmm no idea where the heck I'm suppose to be." She had only recently transfered here and well hey the last school she got kicked out for skipping class. Hears some voices and slowly heads towards the noise, shoving the paper into her pocket. Wore a pair of baggy black pants, a black shirt that was big, big pair of sunglasses and her blond hair was pulled into a simple ponytail. One would mistake her for a dude, which was actually the point of her look. "Hey whats up Dudes." She called out, glancing at the girl and a guy. She leans against the wall and looks at them, seeming curious about them as it was her first day.
[Jacob] as he sat there in the corridor he recalled some girl that he passed calling out to him, he snaps his fingers "Maybe there's still time." standing up he takes a deep breath taking a step back then looked down the corridor and bolted to where he last saw her. Zip, zoom, vroom! He ran all around making twists and turns till he saw the girl again he'd skid to a slightly graceful halt "Woaah!" nearly runing into her at full speed "Hola, ms." he smiled brightly to her while still breathing a bit hard from his restricted run through the school, thinks he just cut Mila's tour time in half with how fast he ran around. "My name's Jacob, I'm a little lost, I'm trying to find my class" he stopped and blinked "Actually...I don't remember what my class is!" he laughed at that relization, oh the irony of his search, running his fingers through his mess of curly brown hair "Ahh..well...I guess i'll just have to find..uhm..Mila, maybe she can be of better help to know which classes I have." he was in his own outspoken thoughts his south american accent was very thick from the sounds of it. He'd blink relising again he was in the presense of another and smile slipping on his english in this next question "Cuál es tu nombre?" motioning to the girl, he wished to know her name.
[Johanna] ::: What’s this? A club for the strays and waifs?! The icy princess only turns her head to stare at the androgynous looking female. Yes, as masculine as Thomas might appear to be, Johanna could clearly tell that she is, in fact, female. Johanna isn’t a fool. “Hello.” She greets her pleasantly, arms coming to unfold and rest by her sides. Attention is afforded back to Jacob as he comes bending round the corner and nearly runs into her again. “Woah, pipsqueak, tryin’ to mow me down, are you?” Hands throw up in front of herself as she takes a step or two backwards. She’ll only blink at the boy as he introduces himself and throws a mention of Mila’s name. She knew Mila, of course. Everyone knew Mila, the durusball great. Jo frowns as Jacob explains himself, throwing some foreign language in the mix. “First of all, Pipsqueak. I have no idea what yer talkin’ about when you mutter gibberish.” A brow quirks then as she regards the boy. A brow quirks then as she regards the boy. “Right… your classes. You got your timetable, Pipsqueak?” She asks Jacob before throwing a look towards Thomas. “So, you lost as well ‘cause this is turnin’ into a right mothers’ meeting!” The question is posed with a heavy dose of sarcasm.::
Thomas slips her sunglasses off her face and gives a chuckle. "He asked you for your name Miss." Her voice was slightly soft for her apperance at males, but there was little she could do about that. However she refused to wear that skirt she was given as she refered to herself as a boy and gives a faint chuckle to the question. "Yes and no. I could careless if I get to class on time. I am mostly curious who I would see about getting the proper boring uniform as I was sent a girls uniform." Her parents had signed her up as her birth name, but she no longer answered to Jasmine. Looks at the boy now and gives a grin. "I think you should stick to english when speaking to this Lady."
[Jacob] didn't seem bothered by being called pipsqueak, he looked over to see Thomas and wave "Hola!" looking back to Johanna rubbing the back of his neck with a soft chuckle, he'd turn his attention to Thomas with a smile happy to know someone can understand what he's saying when he slips up "Heh heh, sorry I lose track of which language i'm speaking sometimes." when she mentioned he time table he'd blink and tilt his head, raising a finger about to say something then started to check his pockets, pulling them out then checked his back pockets "Hm...I..Don't have it, heh heh" couldn't help but look to the girl with a wide grin of nervousness "I don't think I ever went to get it.." he seemed fairly relaxed about loosing the only thing he had to keep track of his classes. he returns a look to Thomas and nods "Well moving to a whole new country is hard enough as it is to try and keep up with the same language." his smile just didn't seem to faulter it was either there, got bigger or became one big grin. Jacob just seems like a constantly happy person.
[Beau] Managing to hold that glamour when it really mattered, Beau had successfully evaded getting noticed by faculty or staff post scuffle on the field. His lesson with Lara had left him somewhat confident with at least this part of his Siren aether, enough so that he had comfortably situated himself in a corner of the library and could flip the invisible mask of his uninjured face on before he lifted his head to curiously spot anyone that happened to wander past. At least until he met with a healer that offered to mend his mouth and nose for the small fee of finishing her Herbology homework after second period. No problem, really. He could keep up the façade for another class or two. Absentmindedly, a stray hand scratched at his trousers, at the lingering and growing patch of scales that still plagued his leg beneath the fabric. It wasn’t as if it really itched but this had never happened before and he was aware of its pestering presence. He’d been able to change between tail and legs on cue since he was second year at the academy, so why he couldn’t quite will this away was worrisome. Tucked up and sitting Indian style on the floor between two bookshelves, Beau was surrounded by a cluster of opened and unopened books, plenty of pages dog eared or stuffed with impromptu bookmarks as he hunched over one in particular. A pencil was held between his lips, while he flipped and thumbed over pages quickly, but methodically, blue eyes keenly focused on his studies. ||
[Johanna] ::: “Johanna. And I speak many languages. English, Norwegian, Danish, Swedish and even some Russian and Icelandic but I tell ya’ now that Portuguese isn’t one of them.” Jo gives her name to both of them. Arms come to fold across her chest as she turns to Thomas, peering at her suspiciously. “You’re gonna have to ask Luthor or maybe yer head of house about that but I give you a piece of advice, girlie… or dude, whatever you like to be called.” Johanna pauses, that brow quirking again. “It ain’t worth it ‘cause I can tell you now that they won’t give you a boy’s uniform and if you don’t wear this one, you’re gonna get the lash.” Johanna tells her before her attention is distracted by Jacob again. She sighs. “Kinda hopeless, aren’t ya, pipsqueak. Do you even know what class you have right now?” Jo asks him, realising that her free period was slowly ticking away.::
{Alice} had slept ever so poorly. Dark circles in cased her eyes. They were very visable agaisnt her milky skin. The day was filled so far with thirsting focus, but each moment her brain was left to wander these flashes began to drown her in red. She had not been to visit Auron since she woke, but she would in a few hours, right? For now Alice made her way around the Library, arms full of books. She was sorting a few returns for Dr. Drake while he took his lunch. One would think that a creature as smart as Alice would not make the same mistake, but something about carting armfuls of books about was pleasing to the small fawn. She moved about quickly, fueled with a spark each time she quickly found a books home. It was in this flurry of joy that she turned a particular corner towards the back and entered an ailse not empty. In fact is was very much occupied by Beau which Alice discovered as she tripped over his crossed knees and hit the wooden floors hard. There was a gasp as she fell, but once ahold of herself she let out a soft sheepish laugh. Alice rolled over to her butt and pulled her legs off of the boy. Aplogies..I really can be a blunder. She offered him a forced smile, but it faded quickly when she saw his face. He must have been caught off gaurd. You really should have gone to the Nurse.. Her small hand reached out, but she pulled it back quickly, remembering how Auron had reacted to her need to Heal. Her stormy eyes looked about and then back to Beau. What are you doing in here...down here..?-E-
Thomas slips her sunglasses back on her fast. "I rather you not call me girlie. If you must call me something then it is my name Thomas." She disliked the fact the girl could tell she was a female, it annoyed her to no end and she raised an eyebrow. "Then they'll lash me everyday, for I will not be dressed like a girl." Finding that this was a useless conversation clearly she looks at Jacob. "Good luck finding your classroom dude." With those words she turns on her heel and would walk off. Maybe she could find the library and find a good book to get lost in. It sounded more interesting than where that conversation was going.
[Jacob] took a breath and shook his head again "No, Johanna, no I do not." he said with full on calmness, he leaned back some doing this matrix sort of stance as he yawned, Jacob is a bit of an oddball sometimes "Well...Maybe it's my free period?" spoken with slight hopefulness in his tone, listening to Thomas he'd blink "Lashes never feel good and ya might die of an infection if you let that happen every day, lotta open wounds" he spoke cheerfully, yep definite odd ball. Watching Thomas leave he'd wave "Have fun being lashed!" he said with a pure in heart tone of joy "Ahh, nice woman." looked back to Johanna and rocks back and forth looking at her with big brown eyes
[Beau] Very much buried into the texts, Beau was what one could call the eye of the storm, whilst the mess of paper, leather, and knowledge whirled around him in a hurricane of seemingly unorganized books. Much to anyone’s surprise, there was a rhyme and reason to his piles, and page markers. Gingerly taking the pencil back into his fingers, it was with a steady focus that he moved to underline something lightly only for an unsuspected momentum to send his hand scarring the page with thick and ugly line of lead. Thud By the time he could blink, he was face to face will a rolling Alice, her dropped handful of texts mixing with his as he slipped on the glamour a few mere moments to late. As her hand would reach forward, there would seemingly be nothing to heal, and just as quick she retracted her appendage and was met with a confused, almost guilty expression. “Oh..Uh.” He paused, frowning at the stretch of unintended black that cut through fancy phrases and vocabulary. “Research.” He finally murmured, bringing the eraser to the page thoroughly as he peered up at her through angled optics. “I’m – jeez, I’m sorry. I tripped you. You alright?” Lifting his head again, Beau would stretch from his meditative sitting position and try to scoop up the book, or two, or three that she’d dropped. Her mention of the infirmary was sloppily ignored, as he attempted to be Siren like and pretend that question and her observation simply hadn't happened. ||
[Johanna] ::: Johanna only watches Thomas saunter off. “Right.” She mutters before turning her head back to the boy in front of her. “You better hope so, Jacob or you’re gonna get the lash for skipping class too.” Finally, Jo uses his name as she frowns at him. The girl is still trying to figure out what to make of this underclassman. She wrinkles her nose, giving him something of a glare. “I’ll think up of something for ya, Pipsqueak, ain’t like I haven’t had enough experience of being late or skipping class.” She tells him finally.::
[Jacob] nods as he got his serious face on, which looked kind of silly "Right then, where would I go to get a new time thingy, i'm lost as it is." he wringed his hands as he looked around this building, the halls they all look the same to him!! Focusing back onto Jo he'd smile waiting for a response
{Alice} moved to her knees, ignoring how they burned. She would let him pretend for the moment as she moved about, collecting her books. His aplogy forced her eyes to widen a bit in confusion. I tripped over you..not exactly the same. By this she meant do not apologize for merely stting. She watched as he gathered the rest of her books and she made a pile with them beside her before sitting and tucking her legs to the side of her waist. There was a space of ivory skin where her knee socks and the hem of hr skirt didnt quite reach one another. This spot was pink and scratched. Alice looked up to Beau, tucking a lock behind her ear. Hiding that must be exhausting. Let me fix it? She tilted her head a bit, a small plea in her eyes.
[Mila] In the morning, she had been half-way through a tour wherein she was taking the newest, Sixth year Crux student about the castle. By the luck of the draw, she and he share almost all their classes – both Mages, even some of their Speciality subjects were with one another. Arriving at the lower levels and thus, the Great Hall, Mila had left Jacob's side momentarily to enter the bathroom. On her return, the boy had disappeared. With the breakfast meal beginning, the majority of Hecate's thousand plus students were millin into the great room to eat and, of course, though she tried, she couldn't find him. She hadn't noticed him in AP Casting either, and she wondered if Professor McMahon would notify their House Coordinator of Jacob's skipping. He was in for the lash, if he did. As for Thomas, another new student, he would have been given a tourguide of sorts as well. Traipsing about with over a thousand students all in uniform – clearly he'd have known his error, and his Coordinator would have indeed told him of Hecate's strict attire before the day had begun, anyway. Of course he was caught. 'He' could consider himself lucky that it was Professor Weir to find 'him', and to save the fresh meat from being lashed to bits – she reprimanded with a few stern words, demand they return to the dormitory to change immediately and given the child Study Prison. Basically? Her rights to wander and roam during free, study periods were revoked for a month, leaving her amongst the few who would be held in the room supervised by a Professor at all times. Detention. Ha.
[Beau] Busying his hands with trying to erase the books newly added scar, her books would be set in a neat little pile as he canted his head. Slightly surprised at her decision to stick around, Beau again paused his efforts and raised a brow, vaguely bashful as he typically was around most new faces, or any face he didn’t regularly talk to. Very quickly realizing that the curtain of his façade had been pulled aside Wizard of Oz style, Beau sort of made a disappointed face. She’d caught him off guard – he’d pulled it off this far. But the offer made shortly after her calling him out for a seemingly free heal had him raising both brows again in interest. “..Really?” Settling the pencil back down, he dropped his hands to his lap and squared his shoulders. “It’s not so bad – just took some practice really.” A quick glance around to make sure none of their peers or any staff would be catching the against the rules behavior. “But Uh..yeah. Sure. Thanks.” He’d murmur, taking a quiet breath and letting the glamour fade away, his muscles and features relaxing with the lack of effort. ||
[Jacob] after a while he zoned out staring at Jo with a strange blank expression till he snapped out of it shaking his head and it finally hits him "AP CASTING!!!" he made silly cartoon pose before dashing with extreme speed, he needed to hight tail it to that class room, it was all comming back to him now from the beginning of the tour. He raced down a couple of stair ways and slid down a few rails "Cmon! Cmon!!" he skids to a halt seeing the door to a class and as quietly as possible opens it up, creeping his way in. If he wasn't caught he'd quietly sit down at his chair and listened to maybe half the lesson his missed. If he was caught he'd explain about being new here and still getting used to where everything was.
{Alice} watched the awkward way Beau looked at her. His nature still humored her. She had begun to notice how people reacted to her offers of Healing. Auron acted as if he accepting was wrong. Now Beau seemed so surpised. What were the people like that filled these halls? Alice moved to her knees and watched as the magic faded. She let out a soft gasp and her lips stayed parted in the silence for a moment. She knew the damage to his face because she had been there, but having the bruises and cuts so close to her face was another matter. You really shouldnt have waited so long..why suffer? With a sigh she closed her eyes and reached out to touch his eye. Her fingers lit with a soft, warm light as she hummed and his face began to heal. The bruises left not only his skin, but the bone beneath. The cuts faded as she moved down his face. With his nose she cupped it with both hands, still humming with her eyes shut lightly. Lastly she placed a gentle index finger on his busted lip and traced gentle across the skin as it healed shut, cealing under her gentle touch. Alice opened her eyes and pulled back her hand, silence feeling the room as her humming had ceased moments before. There..much better.., she said softly, clasping her hands tight in her lap.
[Beau] Another gasp, much like the one Lara had made when she’d seen him yesterday, fresh post fight. But almost twenty-four hours later and the bruising around his eyes had only deepened, the split in his lips dried and cracked further. Honestly though, he was a busy bee, and unless he was just sitting around or caught a glimpse of himself, he almost didn’t notice. Well that might be a stretch. It was the small things that really got him. Yawning, smiling, eating. Ultimately the boy shrugged, perpetually non committal in his actions and uncertainties. “Busy? – I, well, I had plans to get it all fixed up after second period.” He explained vaguely, even if he had already done what the sixth year healer had asked, it was nice to not have to worry about glamouring it up from here on out. However, when hands touched his cheeks and she started humming Beau went still as a statue, even holding his breath. He hadn’t quite realized how strangely intimate it was to have someone touching all up on your face particularly yours, or mouth. Not sure if he should be shutting his eyes the same as her, or not he sort of just stared, exhaling faintly as the dull ache he’d almost forgotten was there seeped away leaving a tingly warm sensation in its wake. It was refreshing. Scrunching his features no longer hurt, and despite flushing a tad as she opened her eyes and stopped humming, he grinned painlessly and ran his tongue over his lower lip satisfied. “Thanks.” Again, he’d said it, running his hands up and down his face, a tiny bit of laughter finding its way into his voice. “Much better.” He agreed with a sigh, rubbing now at the back of his neck. “So – uh, what were you doing before you tripped over me?” Beginning to scoop up his books in a haphazard pile, Beau would start to stand with a renewed vigor to his movements. Assuming she was tagging along, he'd shove a few books in his bag and the rest on the Librarian's cart with plans to head out to the forest during the upcoming lunch period. ||
{Alice} noticed the slight pink to Beaus cheeks. Auron had done the same hing..how odd. Alice watched as he gathered his things and she did so as well. She placed the books on the table and pushed the wrinkles from her skirt before hefting them back into her arms. I was putting books away for Dr. Grimm. Alice looked rather sheepish for a moment, knowing this was an odd thing to be doing. She studied his newly healed face for a moment and offered him a warm smile. Which..I should get back to.. Alice headed down the Aisle and finding one she moved up on her tiptoes and placed it up on a shelf. Refooting she looked back to Beau and smiled agian. See you around ya? With that she turned the corner and headed off to put away the next book. Sh wanted to be finished before Drake returned.
[Jacob] Yes! Yes! Yes! Lunch time! he got away scott free from getting in trouble with his teacher, beginners luck? Either way he'll be sure to not do that again. He leaped from his chair and ran out the door "Yes! Time to go eat!" looking around he saw a few trees in the distance and ran off to the forest area, gasping in absolute bliss "Yesss!!!" looking around he lossened his tie and dug into his back pocket taking out his own seeds from home "Time to go play!" he'd take one of the seeds and puts it in his palm closing it and sending some of his energy into the seed makes it grow rapidly into a strong healthy vine, he held it like a whip looking for a good branch he'd swing his arm back and let loose as the vine wrapped around the branch, he'd lift off the ground and began to swing forward. At the max height he'd unwrap the vine and do the same thing in mid-air, swinging from tree to tree "Arrrrrrribaa, hahaha!!" his echos of joy could be heard through the entire forest
[Lara] The extra-curricular, self-assigned project that Lara had shackled herself with, was eating a great deal of her time. In fact, at hour where she should literally be eating, she had turned her stride far from the pandemonium and din of the Great Hall, and made her way to the forest at a brisk pace. Pressed to the pristine, white blouse of her uniform was an ancient tome, one of the few borrowed from the Library, only a few days prior. Her head was bowed, chocolate locks cascading unbound down her back as she kept her striking emerald gaze on the woodland floor, seeking out the weeds and herbs needed to conduct the first, experimental stage of her assignment. “Experiment un, Stage deux,” she whispered idly to herself – a testament to the 'unattractively' bookish elements she kept hidden from the general populous. She wasn't just an avid student. Lara wasn't only competitive about her grading, no, she enjoyed her education, both the practical which heightened her power and the theorem, usually detested by youths, which enriched her mind. What she had here, was a puzzle. The belle stooped to a crouch, nylons against the chilled grass below whilst manicured fingers began a hands-on inspection of a dark plant before her. The tome was balanced on a rock, open to reveal long blocks of calligraphic text, and a small, sketched image of a plant similar to the one she looked at. In her free hand, Lara had a museli bar which she was chewing absent-mindedly during her deep thought.
[Beau] “Oh. Sure, sure.” He chimed in response, slightly subdued as he shouldered his bag and waggled fingers in a casual farewell. “Thanks again.” A brief smile and he was off, out of the library, down the hall and ducking out of the crowd of his peers that bustled their way to the Great Hall for lunch. The Sixth year’s Herbology homework was dropped off, but now he had his own to do, among other things. Clad in tennis shoes and the telltale Hex attire, Beau’d tug his tie a little loose as he meandered out past the fields and bleachers. His bag was heavy with text books as he hit the treeline and slipped into the slightly beaten path. One hand on the strap of his pack, the other stuffed in his pocket Beau was relatively non chalant – at least until a Spanish sounding scream of…excitement? – tore his attention from the greenery and demanded he notice it. Eyes widening in surprise, he spun about slightly, b-lining through a few tree trunks and bushes towards where he thought it was coming from. “Hey?” He’d called curiously, and a bit naively. Looking in all sorts of directions, he’d likely pop out of the wilderness and trip himself over ..something…a stray vine may. Should Lara be lucky, she’d only have the pleasure of watching Beau faceplant a few feet in front of her. Were she not on lady lucks good side, Beau might very well stumble into her with moderate momentum. ||
[Jacob] woosh, woosh! He yowled again in excitement "Aieaieaieaie!!!" he loved trees and plants of all kinds since he was abanoned in the jungle, his trusty vine whip lashed out at branch to branch letting gain in altitude of the trees heights, he continued to swing from tree too tree, till finally he reached the tallest of the trees. His whip grabbed the nearest vien to the top flinging him upwards past that branch and lands down on it "Ahh this is what I'm talking about." perches on the branch just looking out to the scene, listening to the birds, the wind blowing the leaves gently, ahh to be back in proper greenry "This is what it's about." but his appreciation of the veiw would be interuppted by a sound "Que..?" he looked down to the ground as he searched through the trees "Where did that come from?" climbing down the tree like a monkey he'd land on the ground to lightly jog through the woods. He had a better time remembering trees than stones, comes from living in the jungle for so long. After a couple of minutes with the light jog he'd find himself witnessing Beau face plant on the floor dropping his stuff. Racing over he knelt down beside Beau grinning at him "Hola amigo." he spoke cheerfully offering his hand to help the guy up "Que pasa?"
[Lara] So deep in her revelry of thought, the notice given the sounds made by both Jacob and Beau were belated at best. It was the noon hour and, with the majority of the sounds of youths and their freedom beyond the copse of trees that bordered the forest – students, afield, she could tell that these two were closer. It didn't bother her. While most hunkered down first in best dressed at the Hall, there were others who grabbed a quick bite at the beginning or end of the hour, spending their time playing sport, socialising or fraternising most inappropriately. Surely, she expected others to take to the forest. Still, a voice had called out. Beaujangles? Eyes of emerald scanned over her direct vicinity, and before she'd had a chance to turn, the young man in question was stumbling and then tripping right over her kneeling form. Lara screamed, startled, and ducked her head as the two of them toppled into the grass with she, the smaller of the two, pinioned beneath. Luckily, her tome was unharmed on the rock. Muffled, the brunette cried out, ”Beau! Getoffyou'recrushingmeandwhatthehellisthat?” The other boy's screaming was louder, closer now. She struggled beneath the Mer, just as Jacob appeared from nowhere and greeted them both. Her eyes on Jacob, she began to giggle. She didn't know why she thought it was funny but a stray snicker here and there turned into torrents of laughter, cheeks coloring quickly with mirth.
[Beau] Never quite as graceful on land as he was in the water, Beau awkwardly lost his footing and tumbled forward with an obvious thud. Not the kind of thud that came with face, or hands, or chest hitting dirt. No. Rather it was the kind of thud that came with colliding with another unsuspecting individual. A squeal and a sputtering of not-so-coherent words could be heard, emitted from he and Lara respectively. At the same time, more shrill sounds echoed about the forest canopy somehow prompting him to try and move quicker. As if Lara’s cries weren’t enough motivation. “Je suis désolé ! ImsorryImsorry. ” Beau stammered, blinking down at her in a moment of still, bright blue and wide eyed panic, before erupting into a frazzled and flustered mess of scrambling limbs. His bag thankfully fell off his arm before he did, and thusly it was only his own form and maybe some shrubbery that he had to untangle from Lara’s petite figure. His efforts were put on a brief, hovering pause as he swiveled his head to stare at the peculiarly perky face of Jacob then at his hand. He sort of lay there, almost in a push up position sans one bent knee. A hand on either side of Lara’s head painted this quite the odd picture, especially when the girl burst into a geyser of uncontrollable laughter. Lips parted, obviously confused at both Jacob’s undecipherable words and the femme’s amusement. However, despite himself, the chuckles were contagious, and he found himself rolling off to the side, fighting a bout of awkward chortles himself. Sitting up and bringing his knees towards his chest he shrugged at Jacob with a silly sort of grin as if saying ‘ I have no idea what’s going on anymore’ before tousling his own hair a bit, to rid it off leaves or twigs. ||
Jacob moves his hand to the side as he still smiled to the two strangers laughing their heads off on his arrival, which just made him want to join in. ya know what they say, laughter is truely the best medicine. He held his sides as he chuckled and giggled showing off those pearly whites of his "Hehehe hahaha ohohoh!" he sounded genuinely entertained before he looked to Beau and just shrugged "So what brings you on the ground my friends?" he knew that they weren't really 'friends' but it was just a proper way to talk to people and sound freindly at the same time. His uniform was a bit dirty cause of his adventure through the trees, if they were willing to listen to him he'd begin with introductions "Name's Jacob, i'm a sixth year here, and I'm what they call here an Earth Elemental mage" speaking of earth he could smell some plants on the two "You guys like plants?" he asked suddenly
[Lara] Splayed and pinioned on her stomach, with none other than Beauregard atop her. Sorry. At first she was startled, next she was most uncomfortable and a little pained with a sprinkle of annoyance atop. When the peculiar Jacob joined them, she could only laugh. It went to show how much she was coming to consider Hecate her home, in the fact that months ago she may have thought him a face she simply hadn't encountered yet, now though, she regarded him instantly and reflexively as 'Fresh Meat' just as all the life-timers would. 'Life-timers' given as a name for prison inmates with the life sentence, only, by 'life' they meant the entirety of their high-school lives. “Ohmygosh,” she said between laughter, the words laced with a thick accent and mirth, “Descendez-moi, de vous un bain de graisse de saindoux.” Talk about awkward. Pert rear pressed to Ahem. But, Lara wasn't likely half as uncomfortable as Beau would be – she could already picture the blush coloring his cheeks. With his weight lifting off her, she managed a shuffled roll onto her back and peered up with smiling eyes at the laughing new kid. With the Mer still atop her, hands near her head, they were in a most incriminating position. Dainty hands rose in surrender, “I did nothing,” came her explanation. “He jumped on me. I didn't want it, I told him no!” These accusing words were said with enough mirth that anyone would know she spoke in jest. Raaaapiiisttt. Ah, so Jacob wasn't just Fresh Meat to Hecate, he was fresh and innocent to everything Aether which meant he was either abandoned by his parent/s that had been Gifted, or was an Orphan and taken into the hands of mere humans who knew nothing of power. With Beau clambering off her, she rolled lazily into a provocative position on one side, one leg bent and her head propped up by her hand. “Lara Locke, Sixth Year.. Magnus. I'm what we call a Dually Gifted.. Fire Mage, Siren.” Plants? She said nothing, but her nose wrinkled. If a kid, at this age and this school asked if you liked plants, you knew quite well what they meant.
[Beau] As expected, Beau was sporting a flushed set of features, his ears a little hot as he blinked at the femme beneath him. What had she just called him? “Fat tub of lard? ” He chimed, after the fact giving Lara a funny look despite his current out of whack state. She rolled, and lifted her defensive hands spewing accusatory words. The Mer gaped, sputtering more breathless nonsense before something coherent came out in the tangled pairs native tongue.“ Quoi? No! Je n'ai pas, je le jure. I’d never! ” Jest or not, he did his quick scramblings until the laughter spread like the plague and he wound up sitting on his ass between the two as introductions were thrown around friendly and provocative all the same. Wearing an expression painted with flustered amusement and confusion in equal measure, the fifth year had all but given up on trying to right the situation in his head. He lifted a hand slightly, waggled his fingers and shrugged. “Beau Mercier.” A pause, when he realized he hadn’t quite given them all the information they’d shared with him. “Uh – fifth year. Tritus. Mer, Siren.” A hand ran up his face, effectively working to wipe away the embarrassing heat and lingering sheepishness. A clear of his throat and he’d eye Jacob curiously. “Huh?” Blue eyes fell on Lara, looking to the Senior naively with a quirked brow. ‘Does he mean…?’ Casting his gaze back over his shoulder at the slightly dirtied Jacob, Beau would sport an awkward expression. “..Uh..no. No thanks.” ||
[Jacob] blinks and giggles again as the two seemd so focused to try and negate any sort of dirty thought to their last position. But he just sighs as they give him this weird look when he asked if they like plants, reaching into his back pocket he takes out a couple of seeds of various types, some only found in the native jungle he is from "Plants!" with that his energies began to run through the seeds making them sprout and grow, the greeb roots twirrled and tangled around each other slowly turning from green to a light brown as they piled together they began forming a figure of a native animal from his jungle, the sloth. It was like a little doll "Do you guys like plants? Trees, flowers, ferns, that stuff" he wasn't talking about drugs, why would he? He lived in the jungle for most of his life being far from the corrupting nature of human society. He hugged the sloth plant doll close to his chest it was going in his personal collection of root dolls, which he calls them [Lara] “Yes,” a fat tub of lard. He certainly had felt like one, when he came crashing into her stationary form. “You would so!” Now, Lara was purposely taunting him, with the most earnest of expressions painted about her delicately carved features, “Voulez-vous dire que je suis sans attrait?” Those emerald doe eyes bore into him, awaiting his response. What were the odds? Two, dually gifted, in the same place at the same time, both with obvious French heritage even if one's accent seemed thicker than the other. Lara believed in fate. When Beau shared a look with her, she too shook her head, knowing that she attracted quite enough trouble without the addition of illicit drugs that were illegal in both Aether and human law. And, most certainly, against the rules at Hecate. Then, Jacob was continuing in his eccentric manner and still, making quite the display of his natural ability of wielding the Earthen element. Lara was impressed, if a little weirded out by his peculiarities. “They're ugh, nice. Very nice.” She was being polite. The words at least brought to remembrance the tome, which she snatched up in a blatant hurry, closed and pressed to the swell of her breasts. “I need to find some plants for Herbology. I'll see you.” Then she was turning on her heel to leave, but paused mid-step. “Don't forget, Beau. I'll meet you at the pier. Four o'clock.” And then she was gone. Too quick to catch.
Beau eyes Lara upon hearing her deliberate and pointed inquiry. "..No! No. - I-I mean. Yes. I - You're very --" He shook his head, the flush back on his cheeks with a vengence as he turned to Jacob. "Not drugs?" He coughed, eyeing the seeds with an odd suspicion before one formed into a doll of sorts. Beau blinked, finally moving to stand as Lara dashed off. Scooping up his bag, and potentially her book accidentally with his things, he'd wave a hand a little late and give Jacob a sheepish grin. "I've got an assignement too. See you around. Au revoir." Off he went.
[Jacob] waves to Beau as he walked off to do an assignment "Bye!" but befor he went off his own way he blinks as he thinks he hears her talk about needing to find plants to which he'd rush by her side "Oh, oh I would like to help very much if you wouldn't mind!" he loved plants and was a lil bit of an expert on them for other reasons besides just living in a jungle, to which will be explained at a later point. Even if she didn't want his company she'll just have to deal until he hears it's time for his class to start. Which it does eventually and he rushed off to go to it being sure to not get lost this time
